About This Piece
Nenúfares is one of my mixed media artworks. This work, moreover, showcases a unique blend of paints, monotype, and other media to create a captivating piece of art. With its rich colours and intriguing composition, consequently, Nenúfares elicits a sense of wonder and appreciation for the creative process.
Furthermore, this painting is part of a collection of my works about by nenúfares. Water lilies, in addition, are extraordinary plants. It seem that their creator made them to decorate lakes, ponds, or other bodies of water.
Moreover, the great French painter Claude Monet made them an icon of beauty. As a result, they often get name: nenúfares monet. It is hard to deny that he chose beautiful objects that covered entire carpets of colour. He selected them for the ponds in his famous garden in Giverny. This, in fact, is a small village 80 km (50 mi) west-northwest of Paris.
Now, the Museum of Impressionism Giverny show the history of Claude Monet's presence there. It also focuses on impressionism. Consequently, the place is popular with tourists. They can visit the garden and, moreover, admire the famous pond immortalised in The Waterlily Pond, a painting of green harmony.
Water lilies near me
In my village, in Malexander, water lilies are in many places. Initially, in spring the round green leaves show up. After a while, wonderful white nenúfare flower crowns emerge between them. Consequently, these flowers are the object of our admiration.
Moreover, the white water lilies stand out with their brilliant color. This is especially true against the backdrop of a cloudy sky and dark green lake water. Although white water lilies are more common, the pink variety occur in select locations in Sweden, such as the picturesque Tiveden.
Specifically, in the heart of Sweden, Tiveden is midway between Gothenburg and Stockholm. It is home to the stunning Fagertärn reserve, where the pink water lilies can be admired in all their beauty.
Furthermore, these unique pink water lilies were first discovered in 1856. Botanist Agaton Kjellmark sparked widespread interest and admiration. Unfortunately, the popularity of these rare lilies led to overharvesting. This prompted their protection as a species in 1905. Today, visitors to Tiveden can still marvel at the beauty of these protected pink water lilies. This serves as a testament to the importance of preserving our natural wonders.
Before blossom
And the leaves? Aren't they beautiful too? Their round forms are form patterns, creating nearly abstract art image. Each leaf is a finished composition. Not many artists made attempt to interpret it.
Let the leaves map it out themselves, and deliver ideas for paintings. I use leaves as stamps, to create monotype prints.
An image emerged which is different from popular nenúfares monet.
This time I let you admire the beauty of the plant while waiting for blooming water Lily flower. This is to immortalise its beauty, to make them be famous as nenúfares de monet.
