Earth and the Sun

When going out for a walk on a sunny day and looking down. Under our feet, when squatting down and giving some of our time and our attention. Then we see what we don't see every day. A dense structure of specks and shapes - a composition without a beginning or end.

Let's get down to earth, even with help of Google Earth. Let's see what is visible and yet hidden earth treasures.

Earth Day

We celebrate Earth Day to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire collective action to protect our planet. Furthermore, it’s a day to reflect on the importance of sustainability. On this day, we should think about the steps we can take to reduce our impact on the Earth.

By coming together globally, we emphasise the shared responsibility of preserving natural resources for future generations.

In this spirit, my tribute is to paint and show the beauty of the soil, ground for our steps in life.

Moreover, Earth and Sun are associated with the most pleasant time of year—summer. The bright rays of the sun make the earth warm under our feet. Consequently, Earth and the sun work together to make us feel part of nature. This happens albeit briefly, for the duration of spring and summer.

Thus, in this abstract painting, a piece of colorful art, I want to keep memories of the summer. In doing so, I want them to follow with us later in autumn and winter. Maybe this could be as artwork for the living room.
