The Perfect Big Knot

Big knot – when it appears on a braid is not welcome. It interferes with the structure of the braid - which is designed to build something useful. People want to buy big knotless braids, while building a house. We want to have big knotless braids available. But when we don't plan to DIY and can just look at cut tree trunks for planks, then we can admire the details of the structure of the wood. The regular lines of the wooden grain tell us about the life of the tree. About how it grew, and how the volume of its trunk increased. And in some places, knots appear. They disrupt the grain lines, squeezing in between them. Then the lines flow around the round knots, and they grow between them, adding their lines, patiently, new ones every year. Sometimes the knots have a regular form as if they were drawn with an exacting compass, and at other times their form is disrupted. Something must have happened during their growth. The circles of knots are fascinating. They form a kind of seal of life. Where we see them - there was a branch, and there the tree grew. Maybe it was one of the trees from the big park or a forest?
